yeah, not really, but this is my first blog ever. i hope it is enjoyed during a slow moment in your day. we made it to portland (please see the photos from the 3-night journey.) we took it slow b/c of the dogs and pearl the pig—and stopped to visit old haunts and friends in marin. now we are here and loving it. pics of our ‘hood coming soon. we live where beverly cleary set the ‘ramona quimby’ books. it’s a charming neighborhood, with tree-lined streets and where every house is different. for those of you familiar with where we moved from (valencia), you will understand what a novelty this is!! the people are so sweet. three of our neighbors have already been over to introduce themselves—right next door some fellow california transplants from palo alto. clint’s wife, dina, has hooked me up with a friend of hers here, mikel, who is a radio dj—he has a morning show. he has introduced me to his film friends, and together they are helping me find something interesting to do for $$, part-time, before we get the store up and running. mikel has also invited me over to his house next week for dinner to meet his wife and baby. i’m definitely not in LA anymore…
